Rare Persian carved wooden writing chest with lock. Exterior featuring meticulously hand carved scenes of human figures, animals and nature. Interior decorated with Mashrabiya architectural elements, comprising of numerous compartments, a removable wooden box and foldable backgammon/ chess board. Dimensions: 35X18.5X23.5 cm. Minor flaws.
