Inlaid Wooden Trinket Box with Red Felt Lining - A rectangular wooden trinket box featuring comprehensive inlay in a geometric Moorish style. The exterior is decorated with intricate patterns of eight-pointed stars and tessellated borders utilizing various natural and dyed wood veneers alongside bone or mother-of-pearl. The lid is designed with a raised central rectangular panel and beveled edges, opening on two brass hinges to reveal a red felt-lined interior. The interior contains a removable three-compartment wooden tray, also lined in red felt, which rests on two wooden supports. The front of the box features a white circular escutcheon surrounding a keyhole; no key is present. The base is finished with a tiered parquetry border. A small metal plate is visible on the interior rim near the latch. A white rectangular adhesive label bearing the number 1 is attached to the front face; this appears to be a temporary inventory sticker and is not a permanent mark or label. No maker's marks, signatures, or country-of-origin stamps are visible on the object.
