Bidspirit auction | Moroccan Thuya Burl Wood Inlaid

Moroccan Thuya Burl Wood Inlaid Keepsake Box - A rectangular lidded keepsake box constructed from Moroccan thuya burl wood. The exterior surfaces display the characteristic tight knot clusters, bird's-eye figuring, and swirling grain patterns associated with thuya wood. The lid features a central circular inlay of dark reddish wood, framed by a gold-tone wire or painted outline that extends into two pointed, stylized wing shapes. Four dark, scroll-like accents, possibly ebony or black-lacquered wood, are integrated into the central design. The box is assembled with two small brass-toned barrel hinges. The interior is unfinished, revealing the natural texture of the wood. The base shows a white adhesive label with the handwritten number 4.
