Bidspirit auction | Hand Painted Cobalt Blue Ceramic

Hand Painted Cobalt Blue Ceramic Teapot with Woodland Animals and Flowers - A small ceramic teapot featuring a rounded, squat body, a short curved spout, a C-shaped handle, and a matching lid with a circular finial. The piece is finished in a deep cobalt blue glaze on the upper section and lid, which serves as a backdrop for an all-over, hand-painted nature scene. The decoration is applied in a thick, textured impasto style. One side depicts a pond landscape with two owls perched on a grey log and a frog visible in the water, surrounded by stylized yellow, white, and purple flora. The reverse side features a garden scene containing pink foxgloves, white daisies, purple pansies, a brown rabbit, a blue butterfly, and a small bee near the spout. The base of the teapot is not visible in the provided images, and there are no maker names, signatures, or marks readable on the exterior body or lid.
