Victoria and Albert Museum Fine China Palmers Silk Pattern Teapot - A fine china teapot featuring a rounded body, curved spout, and C-shaped handle, accompanied by a domed lid with a circular knob finial. The vessel is decorated with the Palmers Silk pattern, which is adapted from an 18th-century textile design. The exterior displays a dual-style floral motif: one side and the lid feature a blue transfer-printed design of large blossoms and buds, while the opposing side depicts the same botanical arrangement in gold-toned line work. The base of the teapot bears a printed orange mark featuring a stylized V&A logo. Surrounding the logo is a circular inscription reading Fine China, © Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and Handwash only. Beneath the central logo, text identifies the pattern as Palmers Silk, adapted from a silk design by Anna Maria Garthwaite (1690–1763), Spitalfields, London, 1744.
