Tanya – Six Editions of the Rebbe Rashab - Vilna, 1900-1936 – Signatures and Stamps

Six different editions of Likutei Amarim – Tanya, by Rebbe Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the Alter Rebbe, printed in Vilna between 1900-1936.

• Vilna: Widow and brothers Romm, 1900. Edition of the Rebbe Rashab of Lubavitch.

• Vilna: Widow and brothers Romm, 1909. On page 2a is a declaration of the widow and brothers Romm that the printing rights of the Tanya have been sold "to Rebbe Shalom Dov Ber of Lubavitch… on behalf of the Tomchei Temimim institution" (Vilna, 25 Tamuz, 1909). This deed of sale was printed in all subsequent editions of the Tanya. Stamps: "Chaikel Lunski, Vilna" – Chaim Chaikel Lunski (1881-1942), Yiddish and Hebrew author, Jewish-Lithuanian folklorist and bibliographer, librarian in the Strashun library for about 50 years and historian of Vilna Jewry. Perished in the Holocaust, in the Vilna ghetto.
