A comprehensive survey of three years of detention of ETZEL and LEHI exiles in camps in Africa. Numerous pieces written by the detainees, discussing their condition in the different camps, the attempts to escape, legal matters related to their detention in a foreign state, the atmosphere in the camps, cultural life and sports.

Since 1944 and shortly after the establishment of the State of Israel, hundreds of underground members were imprisoned in British detention camps in Africa – in Kenya, Eritrea and Sudan, alternately.
