A bronze coin of Tigranes V of Armenia. Tigranes, the Roman Client King of Armenia from the years 6 to 12 C.E, was a Herodian Prince of a of Jewish descent. Obv: Diademed bust of Tigranes facing right, wearing stylized Armenian tiara, surrounded by a Greek inscription [BACIɅEYC MEΓ]АС ΝЄΟС TIΠPAN[HC]. Rev: A portrait of Augustus facing left, surrounded by the inscription КАІСАР ΘЄΟС ΘЄ[OY CEBACTOC]. 6/12 C.E. 14.7 grams, 23 mm, axis 12.
