*Highlight* 1877-cc Trade $1 Graded ms62 details
***Auction Highlight*** 1877-cc Trade Dollar $1 Graded ms62 details By SEGS. CC-mint Trade Dollar production remained low through 1877--just 534,000 pieces were delivered with this date and mintmark combination. Furthermore, upward of 10,000 examples may have been melted as part of the 44,148 undistributed Trade Dollars destroyed under federal authority on July 19, 1878. The majority of extant Mint State '77-CC Trade Dollars grade no finer than MS62. One should not, however, assume that this issue is common in BU. An Uncirculated 1877-CC Trade Dollar of any quality is a significant find in today's market, and one that should not be allowed to slip past the specialist. The surfaces of this specimen display soft luster, and whispers of peripheral light toning on the obverse. The design elements are sharply struck throughout. Just a few unobtrusive contact marks are noted over each side, and some wispy slide marks are visible in the fields.
