1983 United States Mint Proof Set 5 coins. 1983 United States Proof Set 5 coins. The Set contains 5 coins Kennedy Half Dollar, Washington Quarter, Roosevelt Dime, Jefferson Nickel, and Lincoln Cent. This was due to the removal of the Susan B. Anthony Dollar, which was no longer minted. We did not check for the 1983 “No S” Roosevelt Dimes were mint error. This error occurred as it had in the past and created a premium for any discoveries, trend pr69DCAM $875. Each proof coin was fit into a slot within a red plastic insert, which was sealed in a rigid clear plastic holder. An outer black plastic piece served to protect or display the set. The outer cardboard box was blue and open at the top.
