"Shelter" 2022
The apex of creation. The peak of evolution. The master of nature. Ha!

Have a look at how this whole mess began. It’s me, Adam, a prehistoric artist, sending you a message from the good old times when humans used tails for balance and dinosaurs were so cute you could ride one.

Here’s my freaky tribe, my friends, my slaves, and my fellow aliens. These are your roots (OK, except the aliens, probably). Back in those days, we didn’t turn into demigods yet. We just lived our lives as humble, tender beasts.

Oleg Babich is a Tel Aviv-based visual artist, illustrator, designer, creative director, and author of children’s literature and comics.

Oleg was born in 1976 in Ekaterinburg, Russia, in the heart of the mysterious Ural Mountains. After receiving a master’s degree in architecture, he devoted himself to fine art and creative activities, continuing his family’s artistic dynasty, which originated from the Eastern European window-decoration artists in the XVIII century. Since 2009 he lives in Israel.

Oleg constantly takes part in exhibitions and art events in Israel and abroad. He also had the honor of creating projects for internationally renowned clients, such as Mazda, Danone, Unilever, Stanislavsky Music Theater, Flytrex, and many others.

In his art, Oleg examines nature and evolution as higher powers. The hidden connection between the real and unreal forms of life is his primary material for creating a story — a surreal tale of mystery, love, and a bit of irony.
