"Recently I started to look deeply at the areas
and random corners inside the house and find the greatest interest and beauty in them.
Areas that seemingly at a glance have no visual interest
But an almost meditative observation of those areas and objects,
Opens a door to a real treasure for me
These three paintings are part of this process.''

Sagi has been painting from a very young age, at the age of 13 he started studying painting with a private teacher (Oleg Rabinovitch, who belonged to an extinct group of teachers that are very hard to find today) for a period of 12 years. After that he studied visual communication and illustration at Shankar College in addition to courses with the painter Ilya Gefter.

"I have always been attracted to artists whose emphasis in their work was the different ways in which they used color and form to illustrate and interpret reality.
To illustrate the atmosphere, the mood and the work with light and shadow. From Cezanne, Matisse, Gauguin to Uglow and David Hockney.

During the act of painting, Sagi studies the small nuances of saturation, tone and temperature of the different shades of color and for this purpose he is served by a color palette limited to only three colors which forces him to search
and find ways to express those different nuances.

"My favorite of the trio on display is the painting with the avocado tree I have in my living room that grew from an avocado seed three years ago (corona period)".
