LITERATURE - MASSON Frédéric (1847 - 1923) - Autograph letter signed - He married the daughter of a State Councillor of the Second Empire, which brought him into contact with the imperial family, in particular Jérôme Napoléon, whose secretary and friend he became. From 1894, he devoted himself to Napoleonic studies, becoming an undisputed specialist. In 1903, he was elected to the Académie française.
