[MUSIC AUTOGRAPHS] - FERRUCCIO BUSONI (1866–1924) - Signed photographic portrait. Berlin, 1907 - FERRUCCIO BUSONI (1866–1924) - Signed photographic portrait. Berlin, 1907. Signed photographic portrait. Berlin, 1907. Original mounted photograph, signed and dated in ink by Busoni. A fine original photographic portrait of Busoni, showing the pianist and composer seated in three-quarter profile. The photograph bears a large autograph signature, “Ferruccio Busoni”, in black ink across the lower mount, followed by an inscription apparently reading “Berlin 1907”. The photographer’s mount is marked “PHOTO KUNST”, with a Berlin studio address partly visible beneath Busoni’s signature. An imposing early signed portrait from an important period in Busoni’s career, when Berlin stood at the centre of his musical and intellectual life. The unusually large and flowing signature is particularly striking and adds considerably to the visual appeal of the photograph. Condition: Some surface wear and age toning; vertical split extending upwards from the lower edge of the mount, reinforced with old tape on the verso. The photographic image itself remains vivid and well preserved.
