Royal Doulton Sung Ware Vase, Flambe', Noke
Royal Doulton Sung Ware Vase, Flambe' Glazed, very striking with it's fiery, deep, vibrant colors, having a high-fired flambe' glaze of deep, dark red shading to black, blue and violet. Flowing, Art Deco style. Douton's chief designer, Charles Noke (1858-1941), used metallic oxides to produce these ornamental glazes resulting in sophisticated patterns and combinations of color unique to individual pieces.
