Un'ichi Hiratsuka, Original B&W Woodblock on Paper, Signed
Large original black and white woodblock print on paper by Japanese Modern Master printmaker and wood cutter Un'ichi Hiratsuka. Bridge in the Garden of Hasso-an (Tea House) Nara depicts the wooden and stone planks famously used at the Nara National Museum, Japan. Illustrated in Modern Master at the Art Museum of Chicago, page 91, 2001. Signature, date, and edition number in graphite on lower right: Un-ichi Hiratsuka 1961, 3/50. Title on lower left: Gangibashi Bridge in the Garden of Hasso-an, Nara. Housed in a black wooden frame with a museum rag mat board and a conservation reflection control glass. Artwork dimensions: 22.25"L x 33.25"H. Frame size: 29"L x 41"H x 1.75"W.
