This large original bronze represents a Ploughman (Le Laboureur) with two oxen pulling to dig furrows in the earth. French Realist artist Edouard Drouot sculpted this scene with astounding details and finished it with a beautiful patinated surface. The sculpture comes with an oblong wood base. Signature carved on base of bronze: Drouot. Foundry stamp: B.P. Vrai Bronze Paris. Sculpture dimensions: 24"L x 9.50"W x 11.50"H. Base dimensions: 23.50"L x 10"W x 2.50"H.
