Delaware Valley Walnut Dovetailed Slide Lid Box
A Delaware Valley Walnut Slide Lid Box, Late 18th / Early 19th Century. The rectangular molded and chamfered sliding lid with three small finger catches, dovetailed case over a molded bottom board. Solid walnut construction.
Dimensions: Height 6in; width 10in; depth 8 1/2in.
Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition:
Structurally sound. General marks, and wear commensurate with age and use. Heavy wear and toning to oval escutcheon. Retaining lockplate, no key, otherwise good condition.
