Locati LLC of Pineville, PA is pleased to present the Fall 2024 Fine Jewelry Auction featuring the pocket watch collection of Sydney F Martin on November 13. The first part of the sale will include over 100 lots of fine jewelry from local estates and collections. Highlights include a pair of Marcus pins, several pieces of David Yurman jewelry, several good engagement rings, pieces by Tiffany and two wristwatches by Patek Philippe. After a break, the second half of the auction (beginning lot 200) will be nearly 200 lots of pocket watches from makers including Hamilton, American Watch Co., Charles Frodsham, Waltham, Ball, Patek Philippe, William Harpur, Illinois and others. A small offering of wristwatches are included in the sale by Breitling, Hamilton, Girard Perregaux and others. The collection is centered by military and railroad examples which includes military chronometers. Some European examples will be offered including timepieces with repeater function.

Two Pocket Watches in a 14k Gold Cases, Waltham and Elgin
A Waltham pocket watch with 15j movement in a white gold 14k case by Brooklyn Watch Case Co. with decoration including a sparrow, and floral and Art Nouveau elements, the other watch with "Gail Borden" movement in a 14k yellow gold hunter case also by Brooklyn Watch Case Co. with egret, engine turned and coin edge decoration.
Dimensions: The total approximate gross weight of both watches is 3.85ozt, diameters are both 43mm

Condition:
The Waltham watch has no crystal and appears to have a small hairline crack, the Elgin is loose in the case and the pusher is not operable, the cases are both in good condition with minor surface wear as pictured.
