HANDWRITTEN SIGNED MYSTICAL LETTER FROM THE CABBALIST RABBI SHIMON TZVI HOROWITZ (LIDER), ROSH YESHIVAS SHAAR HASHAMAYIM, TO RABBI EFRAYIM ZALMAN HALPERIN, FOUNDER OF MERKAZ ARTZI LETAHARAS HAMISHPACHA.
A letter full of mystical allusions and gimatriya etc, written by Rabbi Shimon Lider Horowitz appealing for financial assistance for the marriage of his daughter.

Rabbi Shimon Tzvi Horowitz (1870-1947), son of R. Meir Leib Kaminetzky of Lida and studied at the Rameiles Yeshiva in Vilna before settling in Eretz Yisrael in 1887. He continued his studies at Etz Chaim under Rabbi Shmuel Salant, and mystical studies under Rabbi Sasson Bechor Moshe at the cabbalistic Yeshiva ‘Bet Kel’. In 1906 he was sent by a group of cabbalists on a mission to find the Ten Lost Tribes. He was one of the founders of Yeshivas Shaar Hashamayim for the study of Cabbala. Author of many cabbalistic works.
Rabbi Efrayim Zalman Halperin (1872-1961), born in Galicia and studied under Rabbi Yitzchak Chayes of Brody. Emigrated to America and served as Rabbi of the Zera Avraham – Trisk synagogue in Denver, Colorado, and later as Rabbi of the Anshei Brod Synagogue in New York. He settled in Eretz Yisrael in 1936 and established Merkaz Artzi Letaharas Hamishpacha for the establishment of Mikvaos in towns and settlements all over Eretz Yisrael.
