CONTROVERSIAL LETTER ISSUED BY KIRCHDORF JEWISH COMMUNITY 1886.
Sharply worded letter issued by the Kirchdorf Jewish community, criticising the Rabbi of Wallendorf who banned the use of meat from the Shochet of Kirchdorf - which he claimed was a ‘Status-Quo’ community.
Mentions the names of Rabbi Chaim Sofer of Budapest and Rabbi Yeshaya Ehrenfeld of Brezowitz, as being involved in the case.
Very Rare. Not in Israel National Library.
