SIFSEI YESHEINIM, ZOLKIEV 5566 (1806) – FIRST HEBREW BIBLIOGRAPHICAL WORK INCLUDING HASSIDIC WORKS.
Sifsei Yesheinim: First edition of this book, authored by Rabbi Shabsai Meshorer Bass of Prague, author of Sifsei Chachamim, listed all known Hebrew printed books up to the author’s time. The second part of this book, of which this is the first edition, was compiled by R. Uri Tzvi Rubinstein, and updated the list to include listings of subsequent Hebrew printing.
It is the first bibliographical work to include listings of Hassidic books, including Bris Kehunas Olom, Toldos Yaakov Yosef, Noam Elimelech, Ginzei Yosef, Shivchei HaBaal Shem Tov, Darkei Tzedek, Tanya, Meor Einayim, Meir Nessivim, Kedushas Levi, Rav Yayvi, Or Hameir and many others.
