RABBI YEDIDYA GOTTLIEB FISCHER, RABBI OF STULWEISENBERG, LONG 4-PAGE HAND-WRITTEN RESPONSUM. Dated 1881, written while at a health-resort. The responsum is addressed to Rabbi Avraham Tzvi Hirsh Schwartz, and begins with a report on the writer’s medical condition and the advice of his doctors, before delving into a rabbinic treatise based on an apparent scribal error in Tosefos in Tractate Shevuos. The end of the responsum is missing. Rabbi Yedidya Gottlieb Fischer (1810-1896), disciple of the Chasam Sofer , and Rabbi of Stulweisenberg. Author of Yedid Hashem. 4 sides. 17 x 21 cm.
