SHAALOS U’TESHUVOS MAHARSHAL – COPY BELONGING TO THE GREAT RABBI CHAIM SANZER OF BRODY, WITH A CORRECTION IN HIS OWN HANDWRITING . Responsa of Rabbi Shlomo Luria of Lublin. Lublin 1599. Second Edition. Title within architectural border. Inscription on title page: ‘This Shaalos U’teshuvos belongs to Harabani Harav Hagaon Hamefursam Rabbi Chaim Sanzer’. At a later stage this inscription was corssed out in pencil. On page 55 there is a correction in Rabbi Chaim Sanzer’s handwriting (which has been compared to his signature on another book from the same source as this). Rabbi Chaim Sanzer (1720-1786), a revered saintly scholar of the famous Brody Klaus, famous cabalist and rabbinical scholar, highly revered by the Baal Shem Tov. Author of Ne’edar Bakodesh and Hod Tehila. 68 pp. Final leaf missing. 31x19.5 cm, Condition generally good. Damage to margins of final leaves, not affecting text. Slight worming on some pages. Old binding.
