The signature and stamp of Rabbi Meir Yosef Rubin, the Rebbe of Kerestir, appear on the title page, with additional stamps on other pages. Rabbi Meir Yosef Rubin (1899-1944), son of Rabbi Baruch of Brizdawitz (Galicia) and son-in-law of Rabbi Avraham Steiner, the Rebbe of Kerestir – son and successor of the famous Rabbi Yeshaya’le of Kerestir. Rabbi Meir Yosef succeeded his father-in-law as Rebbe of Kesretir, continuing the tradition of hospitality and Yeshuos his deportation to Auschwitz. [1], 157, 18 pp. 21 x 30.5 cm.
