INTERESTING RESPONSUM! 4-PAGE LONG UNPUBLISHED SIGNED HANDWRITTEN RESPONSUM BY RABBI AHRON DAVID DEUTSCH, RABBI OF FEHERGYARMAT, AUTHOR OF GOREN DAVID. REGARDING THE PERMISSIBILITY OF TWO BROTHERS MARRYING TWO SISTERS. This UNPUBLISHED responsum is addressed to a young man from Szerdahely to whom it was suggested that he marry a sister of his brother’s wife, which would be contrary to the instructions given in Tzeva’as Rabbi Yehuda Hachasid. Rabbi Ahron David Deutsch opens his reply by saying: I would normally have refused to answer your question, as thank G-d you have a great Rabbi in your community [Rabbi Yehuda Assad] to whom we address all our halachic questions, but as you write that the Gaon – the Rabbi of your community, instructed you to ask me, what choice do I have? May the decree of the tzadik enable me to provide the correct response.’ At the end of the responsum there is a footnote addressed to Rabbi Yehuda Assad, pointing out that the responsum was written on his instructions and asking him to please look it through.
