BROWNING A B25 SUPERPOSED PIGEON GRADE OVER & UNDER C/W 2 BARRELS SER NO 4810

'BROWNING' & 'SUPERPOSED' carved to horn butt plate, pleasantly figured stock with chequered, rounded pistol grip and forend. The original 30" barrels with Non-Crossfire ventilated rib, engraved 'BROWNING Superposed ', brass and horn bead sight. The left side engraved 'BROWNING ARMS CO ST LOUIS MO' the right 'MADE IN BELGIUM etc'. The special order 28" barrels numbered to the action with raised 8mm, machine-finished, ventilated rib, the barrels engraved the same. The fences engraved with rich foliate, double triggers with rare TWIN/SINGLE operation, hold open top lever, automatic safety, treble-action grip. the action with fine acanthus scrolling surrounding rising braces of pheasants. 'BROWNING', 'TRADE MARK' to the underside. In the original manufacturer's case as supplied with the second set of barrels with 1950's Californian game licences.

M - B/C, F - B/C, S - C Chip to the toe of the butt plate, the heel scuffed. Two small dents to the stock above the s and one to the left hand side otherwise a lovely patina with superficial marking. The muzzles with some fine silvering, otherwise intact. The action naturally, lightly matt with some local, fine tarnishing. The engraving sharp showing no sign of wear. The barrels clean with two small marks in the 28".
