A tinplate model of an early 20th-century open-cab fire engine - This decorative toy fire engine is constructed from painted tinplate and is modelled after an early 20th-century open-cab vehicle. The body is finished in red paint with gold-tone and black decorative accents. The truck features a rear-mounted hose reel with a black cord hose, two side-mounted ladders finished in a yellow tone, and silver-tone front bumper and running boards. The interior includes a simulated steering wheel and a black bench seat. It sits on four wheels with red-painted rims. No maker's marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the exterior of the item.
