A LARGE CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE EXPORT PORCELAIN TUREEN AND COVER, 18TH CENTURY. Squat oval form with large shell form handles decorated with peacocks on rock formations with floral blooms. The cover decorated with floral sprays and flame finial. Qianlong period (1735-96). 36cm length including handles. Provenance: From a private English collection. With Sotheby's Sussex stickers to cover and interior of tureen, dated 11th November 1987.
Overall good condition with no major damages and no signs of repairs. No cracks or chips. Small minor glaze loss in parts of handles. General rubbing in places from handling.
