A CHINESE GREEN GLAZED POTTERY FIGURE OF AN ATTENDANT, TANG STYLE, PROBABLY 20TH CENTURY. Modelled standing wearing a long flowing robe in green glaze, with his hands clasped in front of his chest, on a rectangular base. 42.5 cm high. Provenance: Property of a Lancashire family.
Given the aged appearance of a Tang figure, with deteriorated surface. With some chipping to green glazed raised hand. Chipping to base and losses to glaze.
