A VERY LARGE POLYCHROME PAINTED WOOD FIGURE OF WATER MOON GUANYIN, QING DYNASTY. The Bodhisattva seated in rajalilasana on a rock form base dressed in robes tied at the waist, hair tied up in a topknot with eyes downcast in contemplative expression. Approx. 95cm tall. Provenance: Property of a Lancashire family.
Repair to middle finger on right hand. Areas of cracking in places with loss to paint throughout. Wear to wood and surface expected from age.
