A LARGE GILT LACQUERED WOOD FIGURE OF WEITO, MING DYNASTY. The bodhisattva dressed as a warrior in armoured clothing posing with his right hand on his waist with left arm in front. On a rectangular form base carved in relief with birds and floral scrolls. 80cm tall including stand.
Loss in areas around base panels. Repair to left arm with flaking and loss in areas to gilt.
