A PAIR OF CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE JARS AND COVERS, 19TH CENTURY, PLUS OTHERS. A matching pair of baluster form jars on octagonal form bases with six-character marks of Kangxi decorated with scene of figures gazing at the moon between lotus leaves and another scene of a figure in a garden under a flock of birds, further decorated with floral sprays and butterflies. The octagonal coned covers similarly decorated with bird finials; Together with a 19th century blue and white crackle ware vase and a Japanese Kutani ware dish, marked to base. Jars and covers 38cm tall. (4)
Both jars with sections of repairs to necks with no further damage below the shoulder line. Loss to finial and edge repair to one cover. The other cover with repair to bird finial. Crackle vase repaired in two sections. Japanese dish in good overall condition.
