A COLLECTION OF CHINESE WHITE AND GILT-METAL HAIRPINS AND OTHER STONE ITEMS, LATE QING DYNASTY/20TH CENTURY. Comprising: Seven hairpins with carved agate, jade, enamel and gilt-metal mounts, two carved green hardstone pendants modelled as a seated Buddha and a turtle, with yellow metal mounts, a hardstone ring and three small discs (13)
Some areas of old soldered repairs to hairpins, noticeably at reverse where the decorative ornament has been reattached to the pin, some rubbing to gilt metal and tarnishing. One hairpin with jade mount is chipped to jade with further decorative elements lacking. Turtle pendant with chipping to tips of feet. Overall some wear.
