THREE JAPANESE BAMBOO BASKETS, LATE MEIJI/EARLY 20TH CENTURY. The first with hexgonal panelled body and circular rim, on stilt feet, the second on squarered base raised on feet with bulbous body, the third of flared square section. 31.5cm wide max. (3)
The example of flared, square section (the largest) has some very small losses and areas where the bamboo has been broken/damaged and is lacking. This is relatively minor. The example with hexagonal body has a small hole to base and several holes and deterioation to paper lining to interior. Some wear to bamboo rims. The third with some minor wear to the paper interior, with some very minor damage to bamboo. Minor wear throughout.
