A LATE 19TH CENTURY ANGLO-INDIAN CARVED STAINED HARDWOOD FOLDING FIRE SCREEN. Of rectangular hinged tripart design, carved with panels pierced dense interlocking flowers and scrolling foliage, within scrolling leafy borders, raised on beast terminals, H91cm x W97.5cm when fully extended
There is some wear to the dark staining, it is possibly lacking an upper gallery to the top edge where there are some signs of wear and old screw holes. There are old glue deposits and repairs to the feet and flanking brackets, the screen is slightly wobbly on base. Some wear to terminals and edges overall.
