In a reddish brown lacquered leather covering, the larger example studded, with double swing handle and clasp, the interior fitted with inscribed envelope, 67cm wide, the smaller reproduction case, stamped with black printed calligraphic oval mark to lid, lined with tiger print fabric, 54.5cm wide, the vellum example with chrome fittings and key, 50.8cm wide. Some typical wear overall, minor surface cracking to the larger example, some wear and staining to interiors of cases. The vellum case with wear to corners and some surface scratching, some deterioration to chrome fittings.
