YIXING EARTHENWARE JING LAN TEAPOT IN ZISHA JIANGPONI CLAY BY SUN WEN
An authentic Yixing earthenware teapot made of zisha jiangponi clay, a recently discovered light sienna-orange colored clay, in the traditional jing lan style, intricately carved with a playful grandparent and grandchild relief and a calligraphy poem. The pot is stamped with the appropriate seals, indicating it was made by the artist Sun Wen from Dingshu Village, Yixing, Jiangsu Province, China. The pot is approximately 200 ml, a slightly larger size typical for authentic Yixing teapots.
The pot shows signs of tea seasoning and use, and is in otherwise excellent condition.
