Samuel Mohn Leipzig Ansichtentasse
um 1807, ungemarkt, Ritznummer 83, in Schwarz pinselsigniert "S. Mohn fec." und auf altem Klebeetikett bezeichnet "... Porzellanmaler Mohn/lebte 1807 in Leipzig", zylindrische Tasse mit Ohrenhenkel, feiner polychromer Aufglasurbemalung und Goldrändern, schauseitig große goldgerahmte Rechteckkartusche mit Mittelgebirgslandschaft, Uferpromenade, Herrenhaus, thronender Burgruine, Kirche und Figurenstaffage, rückseitig Sinnbild als aus Wolke ragendem Arm mit kleinem Blumenstrauß, seltene Tasse mit ca. 2,5 cm langem Haarriss oberhalb der Ruine und feinem Spannungsriss am Henkelansatz, sonst guter altersgemäßer Zustand, H 6 cm. Künstlerinfo: deutscher Porzellan- und Glasmaler (1762 Niederklobikau bis 1815 Dresden), wechselnd in diversen deutschen Städten tätig, ab 1806 Werkstatt in Leipzig, seit 1809 in Dresden ansässig. circa 1807, unmarked, incised number 83, signed in black "S. Mohn fec." and inscribed on an old adhesive label "... Porzellanmaler Mohn/lebte 1807 in Leipzig", cylindrical cup with eared handle, fine polychrome overglaze painting and gilt rims, large gold-framed rectangular cartouche on the front with mid-mountain landscape, riverside promenade, manor house, enthroned castle ruins, church and figural staffage, the reverse with allegory of an arm protruding from a cloud with a small bouquet of flowers, rare cup with approx. 2.5 cm long hairline crack above the ruin and a fine stress crack at the base of the handle, otherwise in good condition for its age, h 6 cm. Artist's note: German porcelain and glass painter (1762 Niederklobikau to 1815 Dresden), active in various German cities, workshop in Leipzig from 1806, resident in Dresden from 1809.
