fantasievolle Komposition aus schwebenden Menschen und Schnecken, vor Hintergrund in verschiedenen Blautönen, siehe Werksverzeichnis Sabbatier 407, Farbaquatintaradierung auf Velin, 1975, unter der Darstellung in Blei rechts monogrammiert und links nummeriert "13/125", rückseitig Reste alter Montierung, gleichmäßig gebräunt und im Randbereich leichte Druckspuren, Darstellungsmaße ca. 49 x 37,5 cm, Blattmaße ca. 66 x 50 cm. Künstlerinfo: eigentl. Roberto Antonio Sebastián Matta Echaurren, chilenischer Architekt, Bildhauer, Maler und Graphiker (1911 Santiago de Chile bis 2002 Civitavecchia/Italien), Studium der Architektur in Chile, ging 1933 nach Paris und hier tätig im Architekturbüro von Le Corbusier, unterhielt unter anderem Kontakt zu Federico Garcia Lorca und Salvator Dali, André Breton erklärte ihn 1937 als Surrealist, in London Bekanntschaft zu Henry Moore, Alvar Aalto und Roland Penrose, Reise nach Russland, ab 1938 Beschäftigung mit der Malerei, ging 1939 nach New York, ab 1948 in Paris ansässig und anschließend in Italien, 1981 Ernennung zum Ehrenmitglied der America Academy of Arts and Letters, 1992 Verleihung des Prinz-von-Asturien-Preises für Kunst, 1959, 1964 und 1977 Teilnahme an den documenten in Kassel, Quelle: u.a.
