Radierung Nummer acht aus dem Buch "Parménide-Dialogue de Platon", erschienen bei La Rose des Vents/Paris im Jahr 1964, siehe Werksverzeichnis Poliakoff/Schneider Nr. XXVI, hier wohl nicht für die Buchausgabe bestimmter Abzug, ungegenständliches Arrangement von Flächen in Rot, Rosa und Blau, Farbaquatintaradierung auf grünlichem Bütten, unter der Darstellung in Blei rechts signiert "Serge Poliakoff" und links nummeriert "4/5", außerhalb der Darstellung minimal braunfleckig, unter Passepartout und hinter Glas gerahmt, Darstellungsmaße ca. 26,5 x 18,5 cm. Künstlerinfo: Серж Поляко́в, russischer Maler und Graphiker (1900 Moskau bis 1969 Paris), ab 1914 Besuch von Malkursen, 1920-23 Flucht aus Russland über Tiflis, Konstantinopel (Istanbul), Sofia, Belgrad, Wien, Berlin nach Paris, hier intensives Studium der Malerei und als Musiker verdiente er sich den Lebensunterhalt, ab 1929 Studium an der Académie Frochot und Académie de la Grande Chaumière, 1935-37 Aufenthalt in London und Entwicklung seiner abstrakten Formensprache, nachfolgend wieder in Paris ansässig, Teilnahme an den documenten II und III in Kassel, 1962 eigener Saal auf der Biennale in Venedig, Quelle: u. a. XXVI, here probably not intended for the book edition, non-representational arrangement of areas in red, pink and blue, colour aquatint etching on greenish laid paper, signed "Serge Poliakoff" in pencil below the image on the right and numbered "4/5" on the left, minimal brown staining outside the image, matted and framed behind glass, image dimensions approx. 26.5 x 18.5 cm. Artist information: Серж Поляко́в, Russian painter and graphic artist (1900 Moscow to 1969 Paris), attended painting courses from 1914, 1920-23 fled Russia via Tbilisi, Constantinople (Istanbul), Sofia, Belgrade, Vienna, Berlin to Paris, where he studied painting intensively and earned his living as a musician, from 1929 studied at the Académie Frochot and Académie de la Grande Chaumière, 1935-37 lived in London and developed his abstract formal language, subsequently returned to Paris, took part in documenten II and III in Kassel, 1962 had his own room at the Venice Biennale, source: u. e.g. Wikipedia.
