Martin Erich Philipp, Stillleben mit Kakteen
Arrangement aus Schusterkaktus, in Zeitung eingepackter Sukkulente und blauer Schale, Farbholzschnitt auf schwachem Papier, unter der Darstellung in Blei rechts signiert "M. E. Philipp", auf der Zeitung im Druck monogrammiert und datiert "MEPH 1927", gebräunt und minimal faltspurig, hinter Glas gerahmt, Darstellungsmaße ca. 45,5 x 31 cm, Falzmaße ca. 54 x 37 cm. Künstlerinfo: monogrammiert "MEPH", dt.-jüdischer Maler und Graphiker (1887 Zwickau bis 1978 Dresden), studierte 1904-08 an der Kunstgewerbeschule Dresden, 1908-13 Studium an der Kunstakademie bei Oskar Zwintscher und Osmar Schindler, Meisterschüler von Gotthardt Kuehl und Richard Müller an der Dresdner Akademie, erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen, unter anderem 1914 die Sächsische Staats-Medaille auf der Bugra Leipzig, Mitglied im Reichsverband Bildender Künstler Deutschlands und der Dresdner Kunstgenossenschaft. später Mitglied des Verbandes Bildender Künstler (VBK) der DDR, tätig in Dölzschen bei Dresden, Quelle: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Dressler, Eisold “Künstler in der DDR”, Kürschners "Graphikerhandbuch" 1967 und Wikipedia.

Philipp", monogrammed and dated "MEPH 1927" in the print on the newspaper, browned and minimally creased, framed behind glass, image dimensions approx. 45.5 x 31 cm, folded dimensions approx. 54 x 37 cm.
