dabei Sommerlandschaft mit Windmühle am Meer, sowohl sommerliche Ansicht eines Dorfes mit Fabrik in gebirgiger Landschaft, pastose Malerei, partiell in Spachteltechnik, um 1970, Öl auf Platte, einmal unsigniert, jedoch rückseitig mit Künstlerstempel "Johannes Wagner - Maler und Graphiker im VBK - 9704 Falkenstein - Ellefelder Straße 28 - Ruf: 5731" versehen, das andere signiert "Wagner", als Pendants gerahmt, Falzmaße je ca. 20,5 x 39 cm. Künstlerinfo: dt. Maler, Graphiker, Plastiker und Gestalter (1914 Falkenstein bis 1980 Falkenstein), ab 1929 Lehre zum Dekorateur und Gebrauchsgraphiker bei "Schocken" in Chemnitz, im 3. Reich Wehrdienst in Meißen und Arbeitsdienstverpflichtung in Preußen, 1939-45 Kriegsdienst und -gefangenschaft, während dieser Zeit autodidaktische künstlerische Weiterbildung, 1945 Rückkehr nach Falkenstein und fortan freischaffend, seit 1952 Mitglied des Verbandes Bildender Künstler (VBK) der DDR, unternahm zahlreiche Studienreisen zunächst nach Westdeutschland, Österreich und in die Schweiz, nach 1961 in die UdSSR, nach Polen, Ungarn und in die CSSR, tätig in Falkenstein im Vogtland, Quelle: Vollmer, Eisold „Künstler der DDR“, Bildatlas "DDR-Kunst", Falkensteiner Künstlerportal "Falkart" und Frank Weiß „Malerei im Vogtland“.

including a summer landscape with a windmill by the sea, both a summer view of a village with a factory in a mountainous landscape, impasto painting, partially in palette knife technique, around 1970, oil on panel, one unsigned, but with artist's stamp on the reverse "Johannes Wagner - Maler und Graphiker im VBK - 9704 Falkenstein - Ellefelder Straße 28 - Ruf: 5731", the other signed "Wagner", framed as pendants, folded dimensions each approx. 20.5 x 39 cm. Artist information: German painter, graphic artist, sculptor and designer (1914 Falkenstein to 1980 Falkenstein), from 1929 apprenticeship as a decorator and commercial artist at "Schocken" in Chemnitz, in the 3rd Reich military service in Meissen and in the Reich's Reichstag. During the Third Reich, military service in Meissen and compulsory labour service in Prussia, 1939-45 military service and imprisonment, during this time autodidactic further artistic training, 1945 return to Falkenstein and from then on freelance, since 1952 member of the Association of Visual Artists (VBK) of the GDR, undertook numerous study trips, initially to West Germany, Austria and Switzerland, after 1961 to the USSR, Poland, Hungary and the CSSR, active in Falkenstein in Vogtland, source: Vollmer, Eisold "Künstler der DDR", Bildatlas "DDR-Kunst", Falkensteiner Künstlerportal "Falkart" and Frank Weiß "Malerei im Vogtland".
