Sefer Chaim L’Yisrael, part 1, on masechtot of Shas, by Rabbi Chaim David ben Yosef Gag’. First edition. [2], 87 leaves. Catalogued in the Rare Book section of the National Library. Frayed binding, no spine, stains, overall good condition.
The title page has the stamp of the publisher, the author’s son (Rabbi Yosef Gag’), and his handwritten dedication (pretty, Mizrahi script) to Rabbi Chaim Zarka of Tunis.
The front and rear binding have affixed 2 leaves from the newspaper Al-Yehudi, a rare periodical published in Judeo-Arabic in Tunis, 1939.
