"And by the merit of our holy ancestors, may Hashem help him with Shefa Bracha and success, easily and with honor". A New Year blessing letter from the Rebbe of Spinka-USA, the holy Rabbi Hershele Spinker.

A letter filled with warm blessings, entirely handwritten by the holy Rebbi Hershele of Spinka.

"And by the merit of our holy ancestors, may Hashem help him with Bracha and success, easily and with honor, within a life of contentment, abundant joy, and complete health. And may he be sealed for a good life together with his entire family, may they live, and a good and sweet year."

Brooklyn, Parshat Haazinu, 1972.

Rebbi Shmuel Tzvi Horowitz, known as "Rebbe Hershele Spinker" (1921–1997), was the Rebbe of Spinka in the United States. He was born to Rebbi Avraham Abish Horowitz, the Rabbi of Karaly and son-in-law of the "Chakal Yitzchak" of Spinka. Rebbi Hershele was raised by his grandfather, the Chakal Yitzchak, and succeeded him (as is known, the Spinka Hasidic dynasty split into three branches from the grandchildren of the Rebbe: Weiss, Horowitz, Kahana). After the Holocaust, Spinka Hasidim established his Beit Midrash on the Lower East Side of New York.

During the third Shabbat meal, which he held for extended hours, people from all over New York would come to hear his sermons, which were often delivered with tears. Later, he moved to Williamsburg, where he studied in partnership with Rebbi Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar and was one of the Rebbes closest to him All twelve of his sons and sons-in-law served as Rebbes. His Torah teachings were collected and published in the series "Tiferet Tzvi" as well as in the seforim "Toldot Tzvi, " "Taba D'Shmuel, " and "Malbush Tzvi."
