Monumental Carved Marble Sculpture of BACCHUS Greek Roman God of Wine
Palatial sized carved stone garden statue of Dionysus. Life sized standing approx 78" tall (6ft 5"). Highly detailed carved white carrara marble throughout including the full lion skin pelt he is wearing. Bust carved into a tapered form body as shown. Truly an iconic status symbol statue. Originally Dionysus was the Greek god of fertility. Later, he came to be known chiefly as the god of wine and pleasure. The Romans called him Bacchus. Dionysus was the son of the supreme god Zeus and Semele, the daughter of a king. iIf you are looking for that conversation statement piece, look no further! Do not miss this opportunity to purchase!!
