Letter signed by "Baba Meir" Rabbi Meir Abuchatziera.

Letter written in fine Moroccan script, is signed by the Dayanim Rabbi Moshe Atiyah and Rabbi Makhlouf Azaguri. Beneath their signatures, Rabbi Meir Abuhatzeira, the Baba Meir, added a handwritten line of confirmation, with his signature and stamp from the time he served as Rosh Av Beit Din of Midelt.

Rabbi Meir Abuhatzeira – the Baba Meir [1917-1983]: a sacred wonder-worker. He was born in Morocco to his father, the Baba Sali, who dedicated him since childhood to the study of the Torah. It is told that for many years, the great father, the Baba Sali, and his young son, the Baba Meir, used to study together, secluded in an attic so as not to meet anyone, thus achieving their virtues. Baba Meir served as Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in Midelt and as the Rav of Erfoud. Was famed as a Gaon in Nigleh and Nistar. Since 1965, he lived in Ashdod, where he received an audience already in his father's lifetime and was famed for his Shemirat Einayim and the power of his blessings. Leading rabbis said that if he had not passed away in his father's lifetime, he would have overridden his father. His sons are the famed Admorim of the Abuhatzeira family including rh Baba Elazar Abuhatzeira and Rabbi David Chai Avuhatzeira of Nahariya.
