Each chair features a distinctive horseshoe shaped backrest topped with a broad padded armrest intended for straddled seating, with carved acanthus scrolls, rosette corner blocks, and tapered fluted legs echoing Greco Roman architectural motifs. The circular seat rail includes additional rosettes and gilded fillets, while the interior uses traditional coil springs and hand stitched horsehair. Upholstered in Regard by Lelièvre, the embroidered line art textile contrasts contemporary design with classical structure; each chair measures 92 × 48 × 60 cm.[Loc FR785]
