Pair of Montespan Armchairs in the Louis XV style - Pair of Montespan Armchairs in the Louis XV style: A pair of Louis XV style Montespan armchairs in solid beechwood with tall en cabriolet backs, hand carved cartouches, fleurettes, and sweeping armrests, all finished in hand applied 24 carat gold leaf with an aged patina. The serpentine apron and cabriole legs feature pronounced floral carvings, while the interior uses traditional leaf fibre trimming over helical springs.
