Writing Desk — Londa by Faber Mobili, Medicea Collection - Writing Desk — Londa by Faber Mobili, Medicea Collection The Londa writing desk from Faber Mobili's Medicea Collection is a distinguished Venetian walnut piece inspired by 16th century Tuscan and Veneto design, featuring a counter structure with four aligned drawers, a single door and three additional drawers opposite the kneehole opening. The leather covered top is smoothed and decorated in gold, framed by fluted pilasters and enriched with walnut burl panels that highlight the craftsmanship of the atelier. The moulded base reflects period furnishings, while the antiquarian wax or optional shellac finish enhances the depth and patina of the wood. Crafted in planed smooth walnut, the desk may incorporate original panels salvaged from 18th–19th century Austro Hungarian palaces, making each example unique and intentionally varied. Measuring approximately 207 × 100 × 68 cm, it stands as a rare, museum quality statement of Italian artisanal heritage. (Loc: ALNCM)
